Maple River Memories
Before I was an author, I was an English teacher at Maple River High School in Mapleton, MN. For 27 years, I practiced my storytelling skills as I shared local lore to the students and also shared current events through yearbooks, journalism, and a TV show called Eaglevision. Four months after committing to being a novelist, I was back telling local stories. So my other "gig" was creating a website where I could collect stories and videos about Maple River.
